Dressmaker update checklist: inspect old dresses after Build 443

Read article

Compare existing Dressmaker projects after Build 443, separating expected trim and requirement changes from missing panels, input faults and reports.

What should you preserve before investigating?

Keep the original creation and note the installed build. If you already have a screenshot from before the update, retain its date and use it as a comparison. The developers ask players to report old dresses that become particularly broken; deleting the evidence or remaking every component makes that harder to investigate.

Do not assume that every changed display means save corruption. Build 443 documents small compatibility changes in trim placement and colour/fabric requirements. Other symptoms, such as an absent panel or an input that does not respond, need separate checks.

Which kind of change are you seeing?

Observation First comparison Relevant official context
Trim sits or folds differently Same edge, same garment, similar angle Placement and default tilt fixes can affect old trim
Colour or fabric score differs Same requirement and material assignments Small components receive more influence
Familiar shortcut behaves differently Same scene and active tool Camera and placement workflows changed
New material is absent Exact item, category and campaign progress Additions unlock through the campaign, retroactively where applicable
A panel looks absent Inventory label and mannequin hint Do not infer a scoring change from a construction gap

This classification is an editorial first pass. It does not diagnose a save file or promise a particular repair. Its purpose is to stop unrelated symptoms from being combined into one vague “the patch broke everything” report.

How should you compare old trim?

Find a recognisable section and inspect its contact with the fabric. Compare the visible intersection, not only the whole silhouette. The notes mention old tilt corrections as a reason some pieces may now sit slightly differently, especially where a previous default offset had been compensated manually.

Record the selected trim name and the exact location. If you adjust it, change one setting and keep a comparison image. A different camera angle can hide clipping, so return to the original view afterward. The trim workflow explains selection, extension and duplication without treating them as automatic symmetry tools.

How should you compare changed requirement scores?

Copy the condition name and target along with the current progress. Confirm that the same garment and customer brief are being compared. Build 443 changes the weighting of small components for colour and fabric type; the post says style tags already used that approach.

A colour-row difference is not evidence of a changed overall-quality formula. Keep quality, style, material and accessory counts separate. The component requirement guide gives a focused comparison method, and the quality guide handles fit, grain and sewing evidence.

What if a button or shortcut seems to have disappeared?

Read the control hints in the current scene before following an older video. The patch changes camera handling, cutting-room collection and discard interaction, and relabels the photo-scene Sell action as Sell as off-rack. A new label can clarify an existing outcome rather than remove commission hand-in.

For the camera, use the scene-specific control reference. For a finished creation, compare off-rack sales and commissions before selecting the next action. Do not use a destructive outcome as a test of an unfamiliar label.

What belongs in a reproducible report?

Write the build, platform, project, selected item and the shortest sequence that produces the problem. Describe what you expected and what actually appeared. Add an uncropped scene image when the tool selection or requirement display matters. If the official support channel asks for a save, include it through that channel; do not publish personal files on an unrelated page.

Separate performance symptoms from garment changes. The patch mentions performance work and reports involving OMEN Gaming Hub, but it does not establish that this software causes every crash or that removal is a universal fix. Record your own configuration and follow the troubleshooting guide before changing unrelated system software.

Official source and checking date

Checked 21 October 2026 against Build 443. The documented changes are official; the comparison and report structure are editorial. This page does not claim a playtest, automatic backup system, universal rollback or guaranteed repair.
