What does the public condition count?
Harder than it Seams says to place over 300 accessories on one dress. Exactly 300 is not the wording Steam publishes. A plan for 301 placed accessories follows that wording; it is a planning target, not a tested guarantee of the game’s internal counter.
Keep all additions on the same garment. A stockpile in the shop, ornaments across several dresses and visible printed motifs are different things. Identify the actual accessory category in the game before buying a batch.
How can you prepare a manageable attempt?
| Record | What to write down |
|---|---|
| Garment | One project name, so totals stay together |
| Accessory | Exact item name, current unit cost and stock |
| Placed count | Additions actually kept on this dress |
| Corrections | Removed or replaced items |
| Result | Completion outcome and Steam unlock |
Choose one repeatable ornament and a garment whose surfaces you can inspect. Place a small trial group first, rotate to check the back and sides, then continue in recorded batches. If you remove a group while correcting the design, subtract it from your notes. This prevents the purchasing total from becoming an assumed placement total.
Can this share a project with the expensive-dress goal?
It can be planned that way: many paid ornaments create a useful cost ledger. Nevertheless, a count above 300 does not prove the cost threshold, and high cost does not prove a valid accessory count. Record each goal independently. If this is a customer order, preserve every requirement while placing ornaments.
The credited player guide discusses repeated placement, but Build 443 changed accessory interactions. Use the controls shown in your current game and the placement guide rather than assuming an old key always has the same effect.
What should you check if Steam stays locked?
Finish the garment and compare the outcome with your single-project ledger. Check that removed items were deducted and that the total really exceeded 300. Retain the build number and a screenshot of the finished attempt for a clear problem report. Repeated purchases alone do not resolve a counting discrepancy.
